You may also like to consider Landlords contents insurance. If the property that you let is unfurnished then this is obviously not necessary. We offer two types of contents insurance, which cover the majority of scenarios: -

1. We recommend you consider limited contents insurance for landlords who let part furnished accommodation. Limited contents insurance provides cover on an indemnity basis. This means that the claim basis is calculated on the current value of the goods lost or damaged not the replacement cost. Some landlords furnish properties with second hand furniture in good condition this is the most appropriate scenario for limited contents insurance.

2. If you target the higher end of the market and let the property fully furnished with quality contents we would recommend you consider comprehensive landlords contents insurance. This policy is much closer to the traditional home policy and your contents are insured on a new for old basis. This obviously includes the relevant liability insurances in relation to your property contents.
